When the disappointing sequel to the Ocean's 11 remake was released, critics wondered where the magic had gone. Ocean's 12 was almost everything Ocean's 11 was not. The intricate heist setup played out beautifully in the first movie that was set in Las Vegas while taking the cast "on the road" as it were, to Europe seemed to have all the air gone out of it.

Now, as it to make up for the sins of Ocean's 12's mistakes, we are back in Las Vegas. If cities can play the part of an actor in a movie, then Las Vegas promises to be a good casting choices. Equally promising is the introduction of Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin. Hopefully the acting sparks will return as Ocean's 13 will be set against a Sin City backdrop, although the actual interior casino scenes will be filmed inside a movie lot in Burbank. Fans of the series can also look forward to an explanation what happened to the Julia Roberts character, Tess, who was the motivation for the revenge driven heist that targeted Andy Garcia in Ocean's 11.

Ocean's 13 will have a screening the May, 2007 in Cannes, France. The opening date for the movie will be June 8, 2007. The premier has not been scheduled yet but their are rumors that George Clooney and his gang will be appearing at a lifetime award ceremony for Al Pacino the week before the June 8 opening.
